Local Law Enforcement
Roughly 50 cars have been covered with what seems to be blood from a person in the German town of Hanau near Frankfurt, as reported by police.
Automobiles, exterior walls and postal boxes were vandalized, occasionally with prohibited symbols, they stated in a official communication.
Law enforcement report they were contacted late on Wednesday night, when a individual observed that a car in the Lamboy district of Hanau had been marked with a red-colored substance.
The liquid had been drawn in the shape of a swastika, they added.
Police then found numerous other marked vehicles and residential walls in the adjacent neighborhood.
These symbols are illegal in Germany under laws outlawing the visible presentation of Nazi-era symbols.
Police state preliminary tests show the liquid was probably human bodily fluid.
"There is still no lead as to its origin; authorities are not yet aware of any injuries in relation with the incident," they stated.
Municipal representatives announced they were working "to solve the case" and have requested to the public for details.
A high-ranking official commented the attack made him stunned and required to be addressed promptly.
"This act strikes at the very heart of Hanau and reawakens the wounds of the extremist terrorist attack five years ago," he posted on a platform, mentioning the killing of nine people by a gunman targeting residents of migrant background in February 2020.
