The Popular Show Campaign 4 Introduces the Fighters Table

Since the launch of Campaign 4, new Dungeon Master the talented storyteller has kept fans guessing with extensive world-building, a wide array of personalities, and a thrilling plot featuring divine entities, fiends, and malevolent powers growing in influence within the urban setting.

Warning: Key plot points for the latest installment of this adventure follow below.

The Soldiers Table Introduced

Episode 3 finished on a dramatic pause and revealed the premier party of characters who will separate from the main group to begin their separate journey, separate from the other two tables.

The Soldiers table includes Teor (brought to life by Travis Willingham), the agile character (the talented performer), Tyranny (the cast member), Wicander Halovar (Sam Riegel), and Kattigan (Robbie Daymond).

The Reason for Division

Considering an extensive roster, it was evident from the beginning that maintaining everyone at one table would be unworkable.

This explains, the opening chapters of this story serve as an Prelude, connecting the characters’ stories before dividing into three separate parties: Soldiers, Schemers, and Explorers.

Characteristics of the Combat Party

Per the Dungeon Master, the combat-focused party is for participants who prefer a classically intense fight-heavy narrative style where non-violent answers are rare.

Initially, characters like the squeamish cleric Wicander might seem mismatched, but the actions of the third episode make it clear why these specific adventurers are ideally matched for the warrior group.

Reasons to Leave

First, the team has a clear idea where to proceed after a brutal opening clash with the antagonists.

An old friend of Thjazi—whose death kicked off the story’s plot—exploited the enemy for his personal gain, breaking into the hidden lair, attacking the rogue, and taking all the powerful objects to auction.

The traitor then settled his obligations and ran away to a Halovar stronghouse in Gormalay, Timmony, beyond Dol-Makjar, with Cyd pursuing him.

Character Drivers

Secondly, each member has a personal reason to depart the urban setting:

  • The rogue, as Thjazi’s partner and closest confidant, seeks retribution.
  • Kattigan has experience in the region and cautions that it is a hostile location.
  • Tyranny and The cleric, having defied his family’s wishes to eliminate the target and instead freed him, have no safe haven.
  • However, their status as key figures in House Halovar could enable the team access locations they typically wouldn’t be able to.
  • Additionally, The grateful character pledged a eternal obligation to The cleric for his rescue and will now follow him wherever.

Wanted and Hunted

Finally, all of them are hunted by the powers that govern the setting for a range of causes, making remaining behind no longer safe:

  • Thimble and Kattigan are notorious outlaws.
  • The warrior and The cleric turned against House Halovar and the army of fiends they are allied with.
  • The fighter is targeted for elimination by the family.

This means them little choice but to journey toward the remote area in quest for the traitor.

What’s Next?

From the recent installment’s post-show segment, we discover that the combat party will be absent the following episode, leaving the rest of the players to round up the Explorers and Schemers tables.

Audiences can expect discovering which players will be where in the season’s concluding setup installment, streaming live on the upcoming Thursday.
