This Festive Cocktail – The Method

We present an easy version of a cocktail featured on a new drinks list. Designed as a party-sized premix that's bursting with tastes of a holiday season, making it ideal for hosting a celebration. Any leftover cordial you can use for morning drinks, desserts, or to mix another batch of bikinis.

The Bikini Cocktail

Makes enough for 10 servings

Ingredients for the Clementine Cordial (makes 750ml)

300ml recently pressed clementine juice
200ml recently pressed lemon juice
500g granulated sugar

Ingredients for the Drink (yields 850ml, to serve 10)

400ml good quality vodka
100ml classic gin
150ml peach liqueur
200ml citrus syrup (from the recipe above)
Whole cranberries, for garnish
Mandarin essential oil, as a final touch

Directions

Making the Cordial: Combine all the components into a saucepan, heat until it reaches a simmer, agitating until the sugar dissolves. After that, remove from the burner and leave to cool down completely. Decant to a sealable bottle, seal and refrigerate it in the fridge, it can be stored for about a month.

For the Batch Mix: Combine the specified liquids into a sizeable container, leave to sit for 60 minutes, then filter it preferably using a fine cloth, so it's completely strained.

For serving: Add 85ml of the cocktail base to a stirring glass packed with ice, and stir carefully for a minute to chill. Pour to a cold coupe glass or similar, top with some cranberries adding the final touch using a light spray of the essential oil over the top.
